After a good nights sleep we spent today reacquainting ourselves with San Miguel. Our hotel is small with an inner open air courtyard in the heart of the old city. We had a lovely breakfast, late afternoon guacamole on a rooftop deck followed by a couple of appetizers on another rooftop. Sorry no photos, we'll do better once we're acclimatized to the time change!

Wow - quite an adventure traveling to San Miguel today. As usual our flights from both Halifax and Toronto were delayed. We arrived in Mexico City and then travelled to the bus station for our 4:30pm bus to SMA. Unfortunately the traffic was very heavy, so the drive was very slow. Our 4 hour trip turned into 6 hours. We're in SMA to complete the next step for Adrian to get his permanent residency - this meant a 10:30pm stop at our lawyers office to complete paperwork before we could make our way to Casa Doper where we are staying.

It's been a beautiful winter in Mahone Bay. More traditional snowstorms with bright sunshine in between. A welcome break from the drearier, rainier winters of late. Lots of snow shovelling to make me feel like I've done something, this last one, just a few days before we leave for Mexico,  required 4+ hours of work, phew!!

Adrian and I took Lark to her first Legion breakfast. Seemed like a good turnout, although folks were strategically tying to have a great breakfast and take in the Gold Medal Men's Hockey Game.

Huge thank you to Tina for the gift card to White Lotus. This new Bridgewater restaurant was fabulous. Adrian, Lark and I enjoyed a great meal, we'll definitely be going back.

So much fun having kids around for Christmas. We were lucky enough to spend Christmas with Jamie, Jason, Cael, Sage and the best gift for the family Noah. Noah surprised his brothers, arriving just as the present opening was due to begin. Jamie's Mom Kathy, and Jason's mother Eunice and stepdad Gerry rounded out the morning.
