Storm warning for Mahone Bay for Monday January 29 - so we quickly changed our plans and arrived in Cancun on Sunday Jan 28!
Adrian needs some expensive dental work done and after much investigation we've decided to go to Cancun, Mexico for the procedures. Why you might ask? Well dental tourism - yes that's a thing - is popular in Mexico and we found a clinic we feel pretty confident about.
This is our first foray into medical tourism and we've decided to document the journey in case it's of interest/help to anyone else. The dentaldesign-studio.com has been great so far. The plan they put together looks good and the clinic will pick us up and deliver us back to our hotel each day for Adrian's treatments. We were required to spend 5 business days in Cancun each trip - we'll need to come back once more. Tuesday is our first appointment. We're staying at the cyancancun.com
Stay tuned for updates throughout our visit.

Adrian spent January 14-19 in Sheridan, Wyoming. He's lending his expertise on an affordable housing project - with an emphasis on housing veterans. Story House Village part of the large Story House Pictures Project. I wasn't able to accompany Adrian on this trip but certainly hope to get to participate in the future. This is the second "project" we're working on together - the Maasai Eco Boma is the other. So wonderful to be able to put our skills and talents together in support of such worthwhile community efforts! Watch this space for updates on both.

This is the cabbage Adrian's been looking for in Nova Scotia - I've never seen it before. Hoping I can source it when I get back.

Gorgeous view from the plane coming into Vancouver....
On the same flight from Vancouver to Nanaimo as Jamie and her family. Got to hang out with Cael, Sage, Jason and Jamie while waiting to board.

So excited - back in the kitchen baking for our Ukrainian Christmas in Nanaimo this weekend. This time we're gathering all the Bohach's and celebrating on Saturday January 6. This is Adrian's Christmas. The tradition includes a 12 course dinner - my only contribution is the bread - happy to be able to contribute something. This weekend we'll also be celebrating our wedding again with Adrian's family - macarons are ordered and champagne will show up too!
