Fabulous day today in Natal, Brazil. We spent the day walking the beach (9 miles) and enjoying lunch in this wonderful surfside restaurant. Natal is famous for its beaches and sand dunes - it's literally a city of sand. The dunes are amazing and the beach is pristine. Even with so many people enjoying the sand and the surf the area is practically garbage free.
Hotels, and restaurants run the length of the beach, each with their own umbrellas and on the beach seating and/or service.
Our Nasi Goreng for lunch was spectacular and we had a great visit from a young girl who was making art out of reeds - I got a great handmade fish.
This is a place we'd return to. Such a fun beach area with great food and a lovely vibe.
